I found out from a credit monitoring company that my account had been closed...because of inactivity of my Belks Rewards card.
Customer service told me that a letter had been mailed on 07/26 stating the account had been closed.
I told her that I had received no letter from Belk's and asked why they did not alert me prior?
Customer service told me that I should have remembered the agreement when I signed up for the Belks Rewards card.
I told her that I got more benefits from using my credit card than from the Belks Rewards card.
Customer service was very cold and showed no caring if I was a customer or more.
THINGS HAVE CHANGED SINCE BELKS SOLD OUT TO THAT EQUITY COMPANY...VERY UNCARING IF THEY HAVE CUSTOMERS!!!

I purchased luggage at Belk in Kingsport TN this month and did not keep receipt, because I liked the luggage so much, I never anticipated having a problem with it.
However, the luggage would not stand up
in airports, hotel room, etc. The luggage
was a night mare to deal with.
A couple
of people in group said the falling had to
do with the wheels on bottom not being placed correctly. Got luggage on sale, and
was same price, but because didnt have receipt, would only give me a gift card for
$10. I just told the clerks to keep the $10.
that store needed it more than I did, as well
as the luggage. What a shame as much as I have purchased from that store, and other local Belks.
I think the store should have at least let me exchange it for another brand,
because I feel sure the luggage company
will make it right with the store. There was
one other person whom I saw in the whole
store. When I got outside, I saw that person
leave, therefore, my car was only car in
parking lot. You know, I thought incidences
like mine played a big factor in Belks problem with, I feel sure, having few sales
with less customers all the time.
Belks
will not work with customers to make things
right, when a problem arises - just there for
sales. My way of thinking, Belks will be out
of business this year in Kingsport store.
Looks like I was one of the few customers
left. Its about impossible to find a clerk to
even check out with, practically every register has a closed sign. I can see why
a lot of people order on line.
Its like clerks
hate to see customers coming, my what a
joke Belk has become lately. All the clerks
do is give customers some crazy reason why they cant help them, instead of telling
them how they can help. I didnt do that on
my job of 41 years working with public.
Belks is simply going to have to shape up or
ship out. Good bye and good luck??

I am a current employee at Belks and I havent worked for five weeks. I dont know whats going on at my workplace, but I have not been on a schedule for almost a month.
2 of my co-workers, who also works at belk now quit because belks has not put them of the schedule for longer than four months. The hiring manager has went on two vacations, but still cant put in our work hours. We have called we have texted every manager but they does not put us on the schedule. I dont know if its because Im part time, but I am a amazing worker and my friends do excellent jobs working at Belks.
we have committed our work life but now I cant even take care of myself and part of my family because I dont have a job that I can work for. I dont want to end up quitting, but I might have to because Ill need the money college now.
